NFL announces first Thanksgiving Eve match between Packers and Rams

NFL’s Thanksgiving Eve Game Moves to Netflix

The NFL has set a new date for its Thanksgiving Eve matchup. On Wednesday, the league confirmed that this year’s game will feature the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams, which will be available on Netflix.

This transition follows the NFL’s growing interest in tapping into the holiday season, recognizing that Black Friday is a prime opportunity for fans to catch some football, especially as local bars become packed the night before Thanksgiving.

This matchup continues a series where the Packers and Rams faced off from 2020 to 2024, but there was no game scheduled in 2025. Notably, the Packers have had a strong record against the Rams, winning 16 of their last 21 encounters since 1992, including 10 of the most recent 11.

Interestingly, while the previous four games were all held in Green Bay, the upcoming one will be played back-to-back in Los Angeles. In their most recent meeting on October 6, 2024, Tucker Craft made a significant impact, scoring two touchdowns for Green Bay, one of which was an impressive 66-yard play.

Fans can also look forward to the Rams’ Week 1 game against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, additional Christmas games, and their Week 18 game, all streaming on Netflix.
