The NFL conference championship game still needs to be played, but the league has already set up its Super Bowl LIX operations staff for New Orleans on February 9th.
Veteran referee Ron Taubert, who led the staff at Super Bowl LVI, where the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, will be returning to the “big game'' at Caesars Superdome.
The only person on Torbert's team with Super Bowl experience is lineman Boris Cheek.

However, referee Mike Morton has played in the Super Bowl as a player. He was a member of the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.
According to Football Zebras' Ben Austro, Morton will make history as the first person to play in and officiate a Super Bowl.
The remaining staff are down judge Max Causey, line judge Mark Stewart, field judge Merle Robinson, back judge Jonah Monroe, and replay official Kevin Brown.

It's worth noting that Morton and Causey are only in their third seasons of officiating, and the Super Bowl typically has umpires with at least five years of experience.
Torbert has been involved in NFL games as a back judge since 2010, and became an umpire in 2014.

According to pro football referenceTorbert averaged 11.40 more yards and slightly more penalties (1.03) during the 2024 season.
Torbert and his staff will find out which two teams he will be officiating this weekend.
The Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles will kick off first at Lincoln Financial Field to determine New Orleans' NFC representative.
They split the NFC East regular season series, with Commanders rookie sensation Jaden Daniels leading the team on the game-winning drive at home.
