Sports Illustrated's “Monday Morning Quarterback” Albert Breer appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” and said that after a tumultuous season for many teams, seven to 10 heads will He said the coach could be fired.
Breer noted that two head coaches have already been fired midway through the season: Dennis Allen of the New Orleans Saints and Robert Saleh of the New York Jets.
Eric Mangini doesn't rule out returning as New York Jets head coach
“We have two, we have the Saints and Jets. I think we can agree that the Jags are kind of a fait accompli. So we have three, Dallas looks like they're going in that direction, so we have four. So We only need three more people right now. I think it's somewhere between seven and 10,” Breer said.
“I don't think it's going to be a record-breaker or anything, but I think it's somewhere between a 7 and a 10.”

Looking at the teams Breer mentioned, the Cowboys are expected to lose head coach Mike McCarthy, whose contract expires after Week 18. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't close the door on the possibility of an extension, but if Dallas doesn't finish, he doubts McCarthy will return despite going 12-5 for three straight seasons through 2024. And in Duval County, Doug Pederson has already left, despite a similar situation to McCarthy, and the franchise has stuck with him through a 2-9 season so far.
Other high-profile coaches include Brian Daboll (New York Giants), Matt Eberflus (Chicago Bears), Antonio Pierce (Las Vegas Raiders) and Zac Taylor (Cincinnati Bengals).
As for Daboll, Giants owner John Mara gave him a vote of confidence, as did GM Joe Schon, even though the Giants are 2-2 heading into Thanksgiving to face the Cowboys. He said he does not expect to make any changes this offseason. 9 records.
