Last season, detroit lions They shocked the NFL world and made it to the NFC Championship Game, but lost on the way. san francisco 49ers.
What will it take to get over the final hurdle?
Cornerback is needed again, especially after the team released Cam Sutton after a domestic battery arrest warrant was issued. They also need to add depth at a number of positions, from pass rushers and safeties on the defensive side of the football to wide receivers and the offensive line. While the Lions return most of their offense and add Kevin Zeitler at right guard, a backup option would be a smart investment.

chicago bears
You can look at the Chicago Bears in a few different ways.
First of all, the Bears currently hold just four picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, so they don’t have a ton of draft capital at their disposal. That might be a good thing, considering the fact that they already filled a lot of needs in free agency, adding players like Kevin Byard, D’Andre Swift, Gerald Everett, and Keenan Allen. The Bears also re-signed key players, including cornerback Jaylon Johnson.
But there are clear needs, starting with quarterback. Next, add another pass catcher for the QB to target in the passing game.
Thankfully, two of the four selections are inside the top 10, so Chicago should be able to address those needs early. The second half of the draft will look at whether the Bears can add depth to the trenches.

minnesota vikings
What are the most pressing needs for the Vikings? quarterback. Yes, the team added Sam Darnold to the roster this offseason, but with Kirk Cousins now in Atlanta, questions have surfaced about how deep the passer depth will be in 2025, but not this year. This could be the year Minnesota adds a QB at the top of the draft.
The Vikings are rumored to make an aggressive move to acquire one of their top quarterbacks, but they have other needs. They added Jonathan Glenard in free agency, but another pass rusher is an option for general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
It would be wise to add grooves on both sides of the ball. And then there’s the wide receiver room. With Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson, the Vikings have a phenomenal WR tandem, but it makes sense to have another option at receiver.
Especially considering that Jefferson will become a free agent in 2025.
