Chedur Sanders suffered Thursday night with one of the most dramatic NFL draft slides in recent history.

Sanders, who was predicted to be the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft after the college football season, fell completely from the first round and was not drafted on the second day.

The former University of Colorado star admitted that he and his family “didn’t expect” something that happened Thursday night.

“Of course, we didn’t expect this, but I feel God, everything possible, everything possible, everything possible. I don’t feel that this happened for no reason. Of course, this is the fuel for fire. Under no circumstances did this happen, but we knew it was bigger and better. The quarterback said.

“Tomorrow is that day. I’ll be happy regardless. Legend.”

Still, the quarterback hinted that he knew he might not be selected in Thursday’s first round. A few hours before the draft, Sanders made a social media post claiming he was preparing what happened in the first round.

“I was made for what I might bring today,” he wrote.

What the day brought on was an astounding slide for Sanders, a dent in the expectations of his father and college coach.

NFL Hall of Famers and Colorado State head coach Dion Sanders claimed that Chedur would be the top five pick when Chedur entered the draft with the X-Post in May 2024.

Two other quarterbacks were filmed in the first round while Chedur waited to hear his name being called. The Tennessee Titans scored former Miami quarterback Come Ward on their first overall pick, and the New York Giants returned to the first round at No. 25, bringing former Oremis quarterback Jackson Dart with them.

Several other teams needed at quarterback, including the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers, also handed over Sanders.

This happened despite the fact that Sanders led the Big 12 Conference with 4,134 yards and 37 touchdown passes and was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. In 50 college games, Sanders threw for 14,347 yards, 134 touchdowns and 27 interceptions.

However, his value was raised questionable in the weeks leading up to the draft amid concerns about his personality.

An anonymous NFL coach said recently NFL Network Sanders was “the worst official interview I’ve ever done in my life.”

“He’s very qualified. He takes unnecessary bags. He doesn’t play on time. He has a scary body language. He blames his teammates,” the coach continued. “But the biggest thing is that he’s not that good.”

Another longtime AFC executive reiterated the sentiment, saying, “It didn’t work out in our interview. He wants to tell him what he’s trying to do, what he’s doing, and he makes you feel small.”

These concerns and criticisms hit the quarterback draft stock.
