Over the past few seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles have mastered a rugby-style quarterback sneak known as the “push push” or “brotherly push.”
On short yardage plays, quarterback Jalen Hurts typically lines up under center with two or three players behind him. When he takes the snap, the offensive line jumps forward and Hurts gets a big push from behind. More often than not, the Eagles gain the yards they need for a first down.
The Eagles have attempted a “tuck push'' 41 times this season, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers successfully thwarted a short-yardage play in Monday's playoff game for just the fourth time all year.

In the second quarter, the Eagles lined up for a two-point conversation at the 1-yard line.

The Eagles were stopped just short of the goal line, and the game was decided by six points. Buccaneers linebacker KJ Britt was one of the defenders who made the crucial stop. No flag was thrown on this play, but it appears the referee missed the face mask call.
Britt appeared to grab Hurts by the helmet and pull him backwards during the play.
The NFL's fine process typically involves the player receiving a letter notifying them of the violation. The notification will also inform the player of the amount of the fine. Players have the right to appeal fines. Notifications are typically sent a few days after the game and are finalized and announced by Saturday.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Saturday that Britt was fined $5,592 for what the league determined was unnecessary roughness during a “tuck-push” play.
“My hand was on his back when I actually jumped over him,” Britt said, via AL.com.
“(Safety Antoine) Winfield kind of pushed my hand as I was grabbing him, and like a split second he grabbed the next closest thing. I wasn't going to grab his helmet. I'm not a dirty person either.''

Tampa Bay also thwarted the Eagles' “Brother Push” attempt during the Week 3 game against Philadelphia.
The loss to the Buccaneers raised some questions about head coach Nick Sirianni's future. After leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance last year, the third-year coach oversaw a late-season collapse.
