NFL insider Mike Florio shares concerning news about Bucky Irving

Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving isn’t expected to make a return “any time soon,” as reported by NFL insider Mike Florio. During a recent episode of “Pro Football Talk Live,” he mentioned that Irving is facing issues beyond what’s listed on the team’s injury report.

Irving has been sidelined since Week 5 due to shoulder and foot injuries. Florio expressed uncertainty about Irving’s comeback for the upcoming weekend while speaking with co-host Chris Sims. He emphasized the importance of careful communication regarding insider information, suggesting that the extent of Irving’s situation isn’t fully captured in the injury report.

Although he did return to practice last week, the number of participants was limited. Coach Todd Bowles commented that they would be increasing reps to assess Irving and veteran wide receiver Chris Godwin, with a clearer picture expected by the end of the week.

During a recent show, iconic Buccaneers player Ronde Barber stated that Irving likely won’t play against the Rams this Sunday. Additionally, reports indicated that Irving has required extra support post-injury while being away from the team for the first time in his career.

Irving’s last game was on September 28, where he significantly contributed to the Buccaneers’ victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, accumulating 165 total yards and scoring a touchdown. The Buccaneers will face the Rams, who are currently on a five-game winning streak, in Week 12 at SoFi Stadium.
