The son of former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and Hall of Famer Randy Moss is calling unsourced social media speculation about his father's health “disgusting.”
Recently, Larry Fitzgerald Sr., the father of former Cardinals star Larry Jr., claimed on his social media that Moss has a debilitating form of liver cancer. However, Mr Moss's son Thaddeus Moss disputed the claims and accused Mr Fitzgerald of speaking without permission from Mr Moss or his family.
Last week, Moss announced that he was dealing with “personal health challenges.” He also announced that he would be stepping away from his job at ESPN “for an extended period of time” to deal with his health issues. However, Moss did not say exactly what health issues he was facing.
Fitzgerald Sr. then intervened and sidestepped claims that Moss had been diagnosed with liver cancer. However, the claim infuriated Moss' son, who jumped on his social media to slam Fitzgerald for speaking out of turn.
“This is disgusting. You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of an engagement. I can't believe my father is talking to you, so please check your sources.” Thad Moss wrote on Tuesday.
Fitzgerald Sr.'s own son also scolded his father for trying to speak for the Moss family.
“Dad, I think it's best to respect his privacy on this matter,” Larry Jr. wrote before deleting the post. daily mail. “When he feels ready to share more about his health, he will. Until then, we will focus on sending him positive energy, prayers, and support instead of speculating.” Sho.”
Rumors spread through social media that Moss had “liver cancer” after Fitzgerald Sr.'s post, but Thad Moss disputes the claims.
At one point, Thad responded to a post by former NFL quarterback Brett Favre lamenting that Moss has liver cancer, telling Favre: This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready. ”
