NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” will soon return from a summer hiatus.

The network announced Monday that its weekday morning NFL talk show will return on July 29, with Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt among the returning hosts.

Newly joining the show are former NFL defensive lineman Akbar Gbajabiamila and reporter Shelley Burruss.

Gbajabiamila will replace former defensive back Jason McCourty as a regular on the show.

For Gbajabiamila, who served as an analyst for NFL Network from 2012-2019, it’s a homecoming of sorts.

Burruss joined NFL Network in February of last year after working at CBS Sports.

The show will originate from Los Angeles, with Schrager and Brandt appearing remotely between LA and New York.

Eldahl will replace Kay Adams as host of the show in the summer of 2022, while Schrager and Brandt have served as hosts since the show’s debut in 2016.

Akbar Gbajabiamila will return to the NFL Network, where he worked from 2012-2019.

The show will also be expanded with the entire cast appearing on “GMFB: Overtime,” which will air on the Roku channel.

“‘GMFB: Overtime’ gives us an incredible opportunity to introduce this unique and beloved brand to an entirely new audience in all 30 NFL markets and beyond,” David Jurenka, senior vice president and general manager of NFL Media, said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more excited about this expansion of the GMFB brand.”

“We’re honored to be a launch partner for GMFB: Overtime, a perfect addition to the Roku Sports service,” said Joe Franzetta, head of sports, Roku Media.

“This is an exciting milestone in our evolving partnership with the NFL. We look forward to working with both Sony Pictures Television and the NFL to bring millions of fans the latest NFL action for free, five days a week.”
