The Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles opened Week 11 of the NFL. With only a half-game difference between the two teams, this was supposed to be an influential game not only in the NFC East race but also in the Wild Card race.
The Eagles practiced and wore down the managers on both sides of the ball, eventually taking the lead for good. Regardless of the result, the Detroit Lions would have been under pressure as a No. 1 seed, as both teams had won seven games. This gives the Minnesota Vikings (7-2) a break at the top of the wild-card race, while the Green Bay Packers (6-3) move ahead of Washington in the standings.
This weekend's NFC still has big NFC West matchups between the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers on the books.

The NFC East race continues from Week 10 onwards.
In Week 10, the Commanders lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Dallas Cowboys, reversing the standings between Washington and Philadelphia. The Eagles rose from sixth to second in the conference, while the Commanders fell from second to sixth. Thursday night's results further solidified that change.

Saquon Barkley continues his career resurgence in Philadelphia. He finished the game with 146 yards on 26 carries and two touchdowns. He caught two passes through the air for 52 yards. He's the leading rusher in the NFL heading into the weekend.
