NFL Power Rankings for Week 5: Giants rise, Jets fall

We're now in the second third of the NFL season, and it's unclear how this will pan out. Even the best teams in the league seem to be on weak footing, and every team in the league has significant issues.

Still, these problems are much more severe for some people than others. The Browns and Jets were once certain to make the playoffs, but they are struggling with quarterbacks who are at full strength. The Dolphins are trying to stay afloat with injuries, the Bengals can't find a life-saving defense, and the less said about the Patriots and Panthers, the better.

As always, we average our personal rankings to form a consensus. From there, the tie-break will be decided by the highest average ranking between the teams.

Biggest Loser: New York Jets (-7)

In New York, the Giants closed the gap on the Jets to just a sliver, making a huge comeback. Coach Brian Daboll has his team play hard football and excel offensively, but the Jets are currently in interim coaching mode after firing manager Robert Saleh.
