NFL rookie quarterbacks Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix record first touchdowns of their careers

NFL rookie quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix weren't able to lead their respective teams to a victory on Sunday, but they both scored the first touchdowns of their careers.

Both Daniels and Nix received first-round picks in the 2024 draft. Daniels, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, was selected second overall by the Washington Commanders.

The Broncos selected Knicks with the 12th pick after a great season at Oregon.

Daniels started as QB1 against a veteran Tampa Bay Buccaneers team. He completed 17 of 24 passes for 184 yards and a score with his feet in the third quarter, running the ball from the 1-yard line to the end zone. He did not pass for a touchdown.

Tampa Bay defeated Washington 37-20.

The Denver Broncos rookie earned the starting spot under Sean Payton over Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson. Nicks threw for 138 yards and was intercepted twice against the Seattle Seahawks. He also used his legs to get into the end zone. Nicks scored a 4-yard rushing touchdown with 2 minutes and 9 seconds left in the game. But it was too late.
