Mike Pereira, former vice president of the Fox Sports NFL rules analyst, says he “understands” why he believes the referee will show favor with the Kansas City chief, but the referee is intentional He says he called the concept of calling the chief “silly.”
Pereira appeared in the Friday morning edition Fox and friends Addresses widespread claims that NFL officials support the chief.
“I mean, I think what I'm going to say [NFL Commissioner] Roger Goodell said. I understand why they think of it because the numbers are different and the call to iffy appears to have done the Chiefs' way, but it's really ridiculous to think that there is an intention and that It's the term that Roger used,” Pereira said.
Pereira's choice of words is important. Instead of calling the claims of many “iffy” fans (and many players) that the Chief called “iffy” refers to as “Bs” as did Tom Brady. Fox and friends When Pereira appeared that day, he admits that there is data to support his conclusion that he was approaching Kansas City's way of doing things.
The most influential data documenting how favourable the host is for postseason (intentional or unintentional) chiefs was full of controversy that made three or more “iffy” calls into Kansas I came from Warren Sharp after the divisional round game. City's Way recorded how the Chiefs opponent was hit with more penalty yards in 11 of 12 postseason games dating back to 2021, with the Chiefs opponents getting hit with much more penalty yards and far more 15 yards. I was hit with a game-changing call.
“Officers are only coming out to manage the game. They have to make a decision in 26th of a second. So they can decide who made the foul and what colour the team is. I don't have time to consider it,” Pereira continued. “So, really, I understand the concerns, but that really doesn't affect the way they host this weekend.”
Pereira's other points about officials making calls that benefit Kansas City depends on what you consider your intentions.
Does anyone believe that the NFL ordered “Code Red” and instructed staff to call on the chief? It's probably stretch. Is it possible that officials are doing it because they believe it's what the NFL wants to happen? That's possible.
Whatever the obviously proven cause of the Chiefs will benefit from the “iffy” call, if the league takes a page from Pereira's book and at least admits that fans haven't made it all up, then that's what It's useful.
