NFL Star Saquon Barkley Shares His Faith in Jesus

Saquon Barkley’s Journey of Faith and Success

Saquon Barkley recently shared his spiritual journey, revealing that he became a Christian not too long ago. He discussed this in a conversation with YouTuber Grant Horvat, highlighting how golf has become a bonding activity for them.

Barkley believes that embracing his faith has significantly contributed to what he describes as the best year of his career. He’s not only tied his personal record with over 2,000 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns but also celebrated a Super Bowl victory with his teammates.

“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I had the best year of my career. I found my faith,” Barkley remarked, noting how this faith has provided him clarity in his life.

During Super Bowl Media Day earlier this year, Barkley hinted at his spiritual evolution, mentioning how his agent, who is also a pastor, has been a part of this journey.

“I won’t claim I know everything about the Bible yet,” he said. “But I challenge myself to learn more with my family and friends. I’m fortunate to have an agent who is a pastor, allowing me to engage in Bible studies with him.”

“It’s about growth for me,” he continued. “And I think that’s a beautiful aspect of faith. It’s about developing a relationship with God and understanding Him better. That’s what I’m aiming for this year.”

Several of Barkley’s teammates have also openly spoken about their beliefs. He remarked on the camaraderie this creates, noting that conversations about faith and religion have become common among the team.

“I think the beauty of our team is that we can talk about these things. It’s a natural conversation starter to ask questions about faith,” Barkley said.

“You know, for some teams, you might not see many people in Bible study, but this year feels different. It seems like most of the team is on the same journey of faith.”
