NFL to review further abuse allegations against Packers star Josh Jacobs after his May arrest

Records show that several women have made allegations against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who was arrested in May after a woman accused him of throwing her to the ground.

The records, released by the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department, include accounts from women who described alleged incidents dating back to 2021, along with additional details about the May incident. The NFL said it would consider the allegations as part of its ongoing investigation.

One woman contacted police in June 2026 about an alleged encounter with Jacobs in January 2022. She said the allegations surrounding the May incident reminded her of what she said had happened to her, and that she wanted the woman involved in that case to be believed.

The woman told police she had been communicating with Jacobs for about six months before visiting his home for roughly 11 hours. She alleged that when she said she had not come over to have sex, Jacobs slapped her and told her not to disrespect him.

She also alleged that Jacobs threw her phone into a pool when she tried to leave, grabbed her by the hair, pushed her onto a bed and then onto the floor, and said, “I should kill you right now.” She said he spit on her as well. She told police she had not reported the incident earlier because she remained friends with Jacobs and worried she would not be believed.

A second woman told police she had sex with Jacobs in April 2021. She said a condom broke and that she asked him to get tested for sexually transmitted infections because both of them had been involved with other people.

The woman alleged that Jacobs later forced her out of the residence, grabbed her by the arms and bicep, pushed her against a wall and threw out her belongings. She reported bruising on her arms and swelling around her ribs. Police said records from that incident indicated officers saw no visible injuries, bruises or damage consistent with a physical altercation.

A third woman said she met Jacobs on social media and that he flew her to a residence in May 2022. She alleged that during an altercation, he grabbed her hair, held her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest and took her phone after it fell to the floor.

She said she had bruises on her arm and scratches on her chest and neck. She did not report the alleged incident at the time, she told police, because she was not a U.S. citizen and Jacobs had warned her she could be deported.

Jacobs’ attorneys said the district attorney’s office and police had reviewed the older allegations, which they described as uncorroborated and previously unreported. They said the investigation resulted in two misdemeanor charges and a plea agreement, and that Jacobs had expressed remorse and was complying with the agreement.

The newly released records also provide more detail about the May 23 incident that led to Jacobs’ arrest. In the criminal complaint, the woman said Jacobs grabbed and threw her to the ground as she tried to leave through a garage door, causing her to hit her head. Police also said he took her phone while she was on the ground.

According to the records, the woman said Jacobs had earlier lunged at her inside the home, pinned her to a bed with his weight on her chest and covered her mouth and nose with his hand, making her feel unable to breathe. She also said she believed she briefly lost consciousness during the confrontation in the garage.

Jacobs pleaded no contest last month to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property charges.

He was barred from playing or practicing while on the commissioner’s exempt list. The NFL removed him from the list last week, though its investigation remains open.

In his two games since returning to the 5-3 Packers, Jacobs has carried the ball 32 times for 75 yards and a touchdown, averaging 2.3 yards per attempt. He has also caught 11 passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.

After scoring in Green Bay’s 27-19 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, Jacobs made a celebration that drew attention. He said it was inspired by a gospel song and was not meant to make light of his arrest.
