Detroit Lions (-6.5) vs. Chicago Bears

The Lions suddenly found themselves in a must-win scenario with the No. 1 seed in the NFC on the line.

Detroit, who lost to the Bills last week, can't afford to lose to the lowly Bears, who have lost eight straight. Good news for Dan Campbell & Company.

The Bears appear to be falling apart after a crushing loss to the Vikings on Monday Night Football.

The Bears kept it close in their last matchup in Detroit, but it was shaky and a short Thanksgiving game in a week, so I don't give them much credit.

This week won't be that close.

This is the perfect bounce-back spot for the Lions.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4) vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Buccaneers, coming off an impressive 40-17 victory over the Chargers, need a win to maintain control of the NFC South.

Baker Mayfield is playing the best football of his career and the Cowboys may be a little overrated after recent wins over the Giants and Panthers.

Tampa Bay is a different animal.

The Bucks were the favorites to win the championship, going 4-2 against the spread and 9-5 overall.

With the playoffs remaining, you can bet on a relatively stress-free victory for the NFC South contenders.

last week: 0-2: Steelers (L), Panthers (L)

season: 4-10.
