NFL Week 2 odds, picks

Football handicapper Sean Trepedi makes his debut in The Post's NFL Bettor's Guide.

Seahawks (-3.5) beat Patriots

If the Bengals suffered the humiliation of being eliminated from the running just one week into the NFL season, it was because the Bengals' offense was poor, not because the Patriots' defense was incompetent or not.

Credit Rhamondre Stevenson for the win, but the Patriots still trailed in offensive yards per play.

Seattle's defense held Denver to 231 total yards and forced three turnovers, putting New England's offense at a severe disadvantage.

The Seahawks' offense picked up steam late last week and showed off its potential.

Kenneth Walker, who topped 100 yards and a score, will be a big threat to the Patriots rushing defense in this game.

Jets (-4) beat Titans

Rather than ending the Jets' season, consider Aaron Rodgers returning from a 20-month hiatus against the NFC's best pass rusher.

His old-school side was still visible: In Week 1, the Titans allowed the fewest yards per play, but that was against a rookie quarterback.

Tennessee will be trying to prove that blowing a 17-point lead was a fluke despite not allowing a single touchdown on offense, but if Will Revis' three turnovers against the Bears were anything to go by, it won't be any easier against Sauce Gardner and Co.
