NFL Continues Social Justice Messaging in End Zones

The NFL plans to keep social justice messages in the end zones this season, enhancing their impact with targeted campaigns. Players will see phrases like “Endlypiaism,” “Stop hatred,” “Choose love,” and “Promote change” displayed, while the opposing end zone will feature the reminder, “It takes us all.” For international games, “end racism” and “It Takes All of Us” will be included as well, aligning with the league’s ongoing efforts.

From the upcoming season, the phrase “change inspiration” will replace “voting” in these displays, continuing the league’s advocacy alongside other community-focused initiatives like salutes to service and important catches.

Anna Isaacson, the NFL’s Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility, shared with the Associated Press that they will engage with players to understand their priorities better. “We’re working with players and clubs to amplify their voices and highlight what matters most to them,” Isaacson noted. She emphasized that the NFL has long served as a unifying force in American culture, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds through the shared love of football.

As for the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, they will kick off the season against the Dallas Cowboys, showcasing their message throughout their games. “Choosing love continues to resonate across the league,” Isaacson remarked, describing it as a message of hope and healing. Many players will also display it on their helmets, reflecting the significance of the movement.

This season, players have the choice to showcase one of five social justice messages on their helmets. Since starting the Inspire Change initiative in 2017, the NFL has contributed over $460 million to various partners and grassroots organizations, with a focus on benefiting underprivileged communities.

The league continues to invest in initiatives that promote unity, taking their responsibilities in this area seriously.
