The black-and-white checkered keffiyeh is a symbol of solidarity for pro-Palestinians around the world, and it appears the pattern was the same as Rede’s cardigan.

The NHL did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on this story.

Ms. Ledeh has been outspoken in her support for the Palestinian people, which is why some took exception to her singing at the All-Star Game.

“B’nai Brith Canada is a group of performers who in the past have incited crowds in public by leading genocidal chants of ‘from the rivers to the sea’ (hateful words calling for the destruction of Israel and its people). “We are appalled and confused by the decision to remain.”He will sing the U.S. national anthem at the NHL All-Star Game in Toronto on Saturday,” B’nai B’rith Canada Director of Communications Marty said, according to the Toronto Sun. York said.

“It’s mind-boggling. This woman has a history of making dangerous statements that incite hatred against Jews.”

Rede has made multiple social media posts in support of Palestinians, including one on December 11, 2023.

“I strive to live my life and build my career around authenticity, consciousness, empathy, and community. It goes beyond my show. So if you have a keffiyeh, please wear one. Please. If you can show any sign of it, you support the Palestinians, please do it,” Rede wrote with heart and Palestinian flag emojis.

“And if you are a Zionist…feel free to stay home.”

She also shared a photo of herself wearing a keffiyeh in a post from the previous day. She captioned the image, “Wear it every day,” along with a Palestinian flag emoji.

“A singer who told people who support Israel to stay home will receive red carpet treatment at the NHL All-Star Game,” the Center for Israeli and Jewish Affairs posted on X. “The NHL did not investigate her further. She has a record of making divisive and harmful statements that only incite hatred against a large portion of the Jewish community.”

Ledeh caused controversy in December last year when he was heard uttering the controversial slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” during a concert.

“I want to be clear,” Rede wrote on X, five days after the bloody attack by Hamas terrorists in Israel on October 7. “I do not condone anything that Hamas has done. No innocent people should be killed or become victims of SA. I understand that this is a very complex situation. Let me say it again: Hamas is not Palestinian. The Israeli government is (sic) in power to commit genocide.”

“I also think the way the U.S. government has sided with Israel and handed over the microphone on this horrific incident is very effective. My goal is to speak up for thousands of people.” [of] Palestinians who are silenced by our government and mainstream media. ”

She added, “NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has some explaining to do and needs to conduct an investigation into how this offensive singer was involved in the league’s showcase event.”
