NHL Fan Creates Memorable Moment at Avalanche vs. Ducks Game
During a recent game between the Colorado Avalanche and Anaheim Ducks, a fan transformed a typical night into something special. It was the third period when a puck, intended for the ice, veered into the stands at Ball Arena in Denver. A quick-thinking fan caught it, and then, spotting a broadcast camera, decided to chug a beer, thrilling the home crowd.
At that time, the Avalanche were up by a goal and soon extended their lead. With contributions from Martin Necas and Parker Kelly, Colorado finished with a solid 4-1 victory.
It’s hard to say if the crowd’s energy provided a boost, but the team certainly appreciated the cheers.
Historic Goals and Triumphs
In what was an exciting second period, Gabriel Landeskog celebrated scoring his first goal of the season—his first regular season goal in over three years. After missing the entire previous three seasons due to knee surgeries, the roar from the crowd was palpable when he found the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Leo Karlsson netted his 11th of the season for Anaheim, marking the Ducks’ sole goal of the night. With this defeat, Colorado ended Anaheim’s seven-game winning streak and maintained an impressive record of 16 wins, one loss, and two draws in their last 19 encounters.
As for the standings, Colorado is now 11-1-5 while Anaheim holds a record of 11-4-1. It’s shaping up to be an intriguing season ahead.
