The series could reach a seventh game on June 24, with an extra day off built into the road for both teams, meaning the only games played on alternate days would be between Games 1 and 2 and Games 3 and 4.
There will also be a significant break between the end of the conference finals and the start of the Cup final.
Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals is scheduled to be played at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, five days before Game 1 of the Cup final.
The Western Conference finals between Dallas and Edmonton will be played in Game 7 on Tuesday night, just one day before the Cup Final.
The Rangers, who are tied 2-2 with the Panthers in the Eastern Conference Finals, will play in the Cup Final at home regardless of the opponent.
The home dates for the Cup Final at Madison Square Garden are June 8th, June 10th, June 18th and June 24th.
Game 5 of the conference finals will be played in New York on Thursday.
