Nick Freitas: Have Marxists subtly gained control of Britain’s key institutions?

The Quiet Shift in British Ideology

The ideological changes in Britain began long before Keir Starmer took office. Commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo explains to BlazeTV host Nick Freitas that this transformation happened subtly, and it seems the British public didn’t really notice it happening.

Freitas suggests that Starmer is deeply influenced by Marxist thoughts, even if he doesn’t openly identify as such. He reflects on how different Starmer feels compared to former Prime Minister Tony Blair, who, according to Freitas, was always proud of his British identity.

Mankoo chimes in with an interesting point, describing Blair’s approach as a “masterstroke” because it masked a deeper ideological agenda. He notes that Blair had Marxist ties in his university days, which many may not be aware of.

Mankoo elaborates on the backgrounds of several of Blair’s cabinet members, some of whom were formally involved with radical leftist movements. He believes the public was largely unprepared for the significant changes that were about to unfold.

While he doesn’t consider himself a conspiracy theorist, Mankoo explains that traditional Marxism focused on controlling industrial production. However, after the Russian Revolution, many were perplexed as to why communism hadn’t taken root in industrialized nations like Britain and Germany.

Mankoo points out that Marxists recognized that the working class held conservative values tied to patriotism, thus presenting a challenge to their agenda. In response, they sought to reshape how people saw the world.

To do this, they aimed to take control of cultural institutions, including universities and media outlets, which play vital roles in shaping public perceptions. Mankoo argues that this control over cultural production is what transpired during Blair’s time in office, affecting universities, the civil service, and various societal institutions.

This perspective on ideological changes raises several questions. Mankoo’s insights suggest a significant cultural revolution occurred, perhaps without the full awareness of the populace. As they navigate this evolving landscape, it becomes essential for citizens to be aware of the forces at play in shaping their beliefs and values.
