Nick Kyrgios Talks About Breakup with Costeen Hatch
Nick Kyrgios recently opened up about his breakup with his longtime girlfriend, Costeen Hatch. This week, during an Instagram Q&A with fans, he addressed the speculation surrounding their split. Fans were curious, asking whether he would discuss the details of his breakup or keep it private. Kyrgios responded, “Things happen. I wish her the best,” adding that he has many wonderful memories from their time together.
Kyrgios and Hatch were first linked in 2021. She traveled with him to various tournaments, including the 2022 Wimbledon men’s final, where he faced off against Novak Djokovic but ultimately lost in four sets.
Once ranked 13th in the world, Kyrgios has struggled with injuries and has had to withdraw from several Grand Slam events due to his condition. His last appearance on the court was at the Miami Open in March, where he was defeated by Karen Khachanov in the round of 64.
Now, a month after their split, it seems the couple has taken steps to erase their relationship from social media, with both removing each other’s initials from their Instagram bios. Reports indicate that Kyrgios has also been removed from Hatch’s page. Following the breakup, Hatch mentioned that she is focusing on her own happiness and putting herself first.
Despite the challenges he has faced, Kyrgios has had a rocky few months, especially with the recent news about his absence from the BBC’s Wimbledon coverage after he previously appeared on the network. He won’t be featured on ESPN either.
The controversy around Kyrgios stems from his past, which includes pleading guilty to an assault against an ex-girlfriend. Wimbledon is set to commence on June 30 and wrap up on July 13.
