Nick Sirianni and A.J. Brown had a tense moment during an Eagles conversation.

Emotions were quite intense on the Eagles sideline during the second quarter of Sunday’s NFC wild-card game against the 49ers. A FOX broadcast captured a charged interaction between head coach Nick Sirianni and wide receiver AJ Brown.

In a moment that seemed pretty tense, Sirianni confronted Brown as he sprinted down the sideline, appearing to instruct him to leave the field.

At one point, Dom DiSandro, the Eagles’ head of security, known as “Big Dom,” intervened, stepping between the two. The footage then showed Brown shouting something back at Sirianni while teammates attempted to diffuse the situation.

After halftime, FOX’s Erin Andrews chatted with Sirianni, who shared his insights with reporters, stating that “emotions run high, especially in the playoffs.”

Andrews later mentioned to Sirianni, “Of course, after this game, we’ll go back to loving each other. But look, this is what it is. We’ll be fine, thank you.”

During the game coverage, former quarterback Tom Brady, in a commentary role, noted that this kind of intensity is common and implied that both Sirianni and Brown have a solid relationship. “His star wideout is kind of colorful,” he remarked. “They’re both fierce competitors at their peak and know how much they care about each other. Perhaps that bit of responsibility fuels AJ too.”

Despite the spirited exchange, Brown was somewhat subdued in the first three quarters; he ended the game with only three catches for 25 yards, his longest reception being just 10 yards in the first quarter.

The Eagles have reached the playoffs for five straight years and claimed the Super Bowl title last season.
