Nicki Minaj and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Join Forces Against Uncontrolled Corruption in the Rap Industry

Nicki Minaj reached out to Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna on X after she perceived a comment from DJ MackWop, who is linked to singer SZA, as a death threat amid an escalating online conflict.

After days of back-and-forth with SZA, MackWop intervened on Thursday, warning Minaj to “Relax, before you get put in the blender like your boy did.” Minaj interpreted this as a reference to Tory Lanez’s recent prison stabbing, viewing it as a direct threat to her. She tagged Luna, who has been vocal about supporting Lanez, asking for assistance.

“@RepLuna this man just publicly threatened me,” Minaj expressed. “I’ve notified the FBI & CIA. I want this thug locked up, and I’m ready to discuss everything these people have done to me.”

She directly questioned MackWop in a subsequent tweet, asking, “Which boy was put in a blender?”

Minaj intensified her call for action by tagging the CIA and FBI in further posts, insisting they look into MackWop’s comment as an act of public intimidation.

She described the “blender” comment as potentially revealing a past crime. “It appears to me he’s alluding to Tory’s stabbing, which many suspect was a setup,” she stated. “@fbi I’m ready to share everything I know. @CIADirector these thugs are going too far. They’ve started making PUBLIC THREATS because their leaders think they’re untouchable.”

Luna responded, stating, “Please text my cell; I will forward this to law enforcement immediately. We must take threats of violence and assassination seriously. I hope you’re okay, we’ll talk soon @NICKIMINAJ.”

The next day, Luna updated her followers, confirming she spoke with Minaj directly and pledged to do everything possible to ensure her safety. “We take threats of violence and assassination very seriously,” she added. “RICO is also illegal. It’s concerning that there’s been unchecked corruption in parts of the rap industry. Artists should be respected and not live in fear of their management, labels, etc.”

Luna’s office couldn’t immediately respond to requests for comment. This situation is ongoing and will be updated as new information becomes available.
