Minaj Shares Career Insights and Political Support in New Interview

Rapper Nicki Minaj recently offered her thoughts on entering the workforce and stood firmly behind her support for President Donald Trump in an interview on “The Ingraham Angle.”

In this candid chat, Minaj reflected on her rise in the music industry, describing her journey from serving biscuits at Red Lobster to topping global charts and working with prominent figures in entertainment.

“I worked in customer service, did telemarketing, sold fire extinguishers… I pretty much did it all,” she revealed.

She went on to say, “What I would tell young people is this: these moments, while not the highlight of your life, are crucial.” Minaj emphasized the value of the experiences and skills gained during those early jobs, which she believes still influence her business approach today.

“The lessons I learned back then—communication skills, problem-solving—they’re relevant now, whether I’m dealing with industry superstars or anyone else,” she explained. “Don’t rush through those early experiences; they are the groundwork for your future.”

Minaj, whose net worth is estimated at $150 million, also encouraged younger generations to prioritize saving, sharing her own practice of setting aside money even when her earnings were modest.

Additionally, she discussed her collaboration with the Trump administration in a recent initiative aimed at supporting small businesses, serving as a judge in the Million Dollar Pitch Competition. “Small businesses are the backbone of the nation… You don’t have to be a widely recognized figure to get the attention you deserve,” she said.

Minaj acknowledged the backlash she sometimes faces for her political stance but maintained her commitment. “I have nothing to say to critics. Working with this administration is an honor,” she declared. She also shared that Trump is someone she finds relatable and enjoyable to interact with.

Looking ahead, Minaj hinted at her upcoming projects, telling her fans, affectionately known as “Barbz,” to be patient as she focuses on new ventures in her “businesswoman era.” She closed with a light-hearted message to her followers, asking for some leniency regarding questions about her next tour. “Barbz, I love you all; please give me some time to present the next phase of my work.”
