Quarterback transfer Nicoa Maleava has responded to criticism and accusations.
The former Tennessee quarterback has publicly addressed recent rumors and allegations suggesting he stayed out of the college football playoffs and deliberately slowed his performance on his way out of school.
IAMALEAVA entered the Spring Transfer Portal on Wednesday; Dismissed the claim On his Instagram Story on Friday, he said, “Did I go out and try to throw a playoff game?” It is accompanied by laughing emojis and photos of the three from the first round match against Ohio State.
“These boys just make me laugh, guys. Not that,” he added.
He also shared another image of him having a conversation with quarterback Navy Schler before the game, jokingly captioning him, and mocking the allegations. [right quick]”With a laughing emoji again.
Iamaleava’s remarks arise during a recent departure from Tennessee following a reported dispute over his name, image and likeness (nil) compensation.
The report shows that Iamaleava and his representatives sought NIL deals worth $4 million a year from his first $225 to $2.5 million contract.
When negotiations stagnate, Iamaleava enters the transfer portal, and UCLA emerges as Frontrunner, Athletics.
Cowboys star linebacker Mika Parsons was one of those who criticised Iamaleava’s actions as an indication of a wider problem within the sport.
“College football is a joke now!” Parsons posted on x. “Y’all could put the university in the semi-pro league as well! They’ll actually hold players accountable for the contracts they sign!”
Iamaleava threw for 2,616 yards last season, along with 19 touchdowns and five intercepts.
He also ran for 358 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
