Fulton alleged that Cage dismissed Weston’s mental-health issues prior to the alleged attack she said occurred during a “mental-health crisis” she was attempting to assist her son through.
She alleged Weston assaulted her in his condominium’s elevator, lobby and parking area, “causing severe and life threatening injuries.”
Fulton claimed she suffered from a brain concussion, multiple contusions, a disfiguring eye wound, dental damage, PTSD and psychological issues as a result of the alleged attack.
“These injuries have required extensive medical care, surgeries, and treatments,” the lawsuit said.

Fulton accused Cage of failing to intervene and claimed that Cage bailed Weston out of jail multiple times, according to People. She alleged that the actor drinks alcohol with their son “despite knowing his substance abuse history.”
She claimed Cage failed to ensure Weston obtained “necessary psychiatric” assistance and instead aided his “reckless” behavior.
“Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals,” Fulton said in the lawsuit, according to People. “Nicolas has been aware of Weston’s history and nevertheless failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others.”
“Nicolas knew or should have known that Weston posed a serious and imminent danger to others, including Plaintiff, based on his documented history of violent assaults, substance abuse, and mental instability,” the lawsuit read.

Cage’s lawyer issued a statement to People saying, “The allegations by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are absurd and frivolous.”
“Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston’s behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston’s alleged assault of his mother,” the attorney added.
Fulton claimed the alleged attack affected her “thriving” modeling and acting career. She said she was filming a Netflix show “when the assault derailed her life,” according to People. She claimed she was unable to continue performing and could not attend brand promotion events. Fulton alleged that her brand, Cyclish, and a multi-million dollar opportunity were “jeopardized” because the incident left her in fear and affected her ability to manage her company.
