Nichole Kidman Files for Divorce from Keith Urban

Nichole Kidman has reportedly indicated “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her divorce from Keith Urban, a development that emerged on Tuesday.

According to reports, there’s some confusion surrounding this sudden shift, especially since it seemed Kidman was striving to maintain their marriage.

Documents reveal that the couple had already established a divorce agreement outlining a “marital dissolution agreement.” This includes details on parenting arrangements and child support. As it stands, Kidman’s children will reportedly spend 306 days a year with her and just 59 days with Urban, which seems quite lopsided, doesn’t it?

Sources also note that the couple has made substantial decisions together, particularly regarding their children’s education and healthcare. Interestingly—like they were on the same page about some things—the couple both seem to have agreed to forgo child support. They’ll each keep their own assets, which might hint at a mutual understanding despite the circumstances.

There’s even mention of them attending a parenting seminar together as part of the agreement, which is, well, a good idea, I suppose. Both parents collaborating on that front could be beneficial for the kids.

Two notaries signed the documents, with Urban’s dated August 29 and Kidman’s on September 6.

Rumors have surfaced that Urban might be involved with another woman, although, as of now, neither he nor Kidman has confirmed this. It’s a difficult situation, and they haven’t made any public comments about their separation up to this point.
