Trump’s Remarks Spark Wallace’s Critique of Breitbart

During a segment on MS NOW’s Deadline, Nicolle Wallace took a jab at Breitbart News after President Donald Trump characterized it as the only media outlet treating him fairly, claiming she was unaware it was still operational.

In conversation with MS NOW Senior White House correspondent Vaughn Hillyard, Wallace pondered whether Trump’s decision to exclude traditional media outlets like CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House might extend to other, more Trump-friendly news organizations.

This inquiry followed Trump’s announcement that he was prohibiting Politico, CNN, and MS NOW from White House press events due to what he called “FAKE NEWS” reporting.

“Some of the most telling coverage of the conflict in Iran is coming from the Wall Street Journal. In recent days, significant updates about war casualties have emerged from the Washington Post, which is owned by his associate Jeff Bezos. Moreover, CBS, which has showcased some of the more damaging stories regarding military installations, is also sympathetic to him,” Wallace pointed out. “So, could this ban potentially expand to these outlets?”

“I can’t see why it wouldn’t,” Hillyard replied. He noted that, on Truth Social, Trump stated that Breitbart is the only outlet treating him fairly.

Wallace chuckled at this and Hillyard remarked, “So, if Breitbart is the standard… Well, the President said it himself.”

As Hillyard discussed the unique broadcast access for Real America’s Voice—designated to film Trump’s arrival in New York for the United Nations General Assembly—Wallace interrupted, expressing surprise that Breitbart was still operational.

“The single broadcast camera permitted to capture the President’s entrance today in NYC for the UN General Assembly, without other networks like CNN included, is from Real America’s Voice, an outlet known for its MAGA support, hosting shows from Steve Bannon, Jack Posobiec, and John Solomon,” Hillyard elaborated.

Mariane Angela from Breitbart News shared that when a Washington Examiner reporter, Naomi Lin, asked Trump why his ban would withstand a court challenge—unlike a similar attempt against CNN—Trump stated that he does not receive fair media coverage aside from Breitbart.

“I won the presidency; all seven swing states; even the popular vote,” Trump asserted. “I secured 87 percent of the counties, which is why the electoral map is predominantly red, with two small blue areas on both coasts. I won decisively, yet I receive no fair press. The only fair coverage comes from Breitbart, and somewhat from Fox, although I believe Fox has the worst polls in the business.”

On Monday, Trump shared an article from Breitbart on Truth Social, emphasizing that it was the “only outlet that covers him fairly.”
