NIH shuts down Fauci’s apparent puppy-testing facility after 40 years of cruel experiments

NIH Closes Lab After Controversial Dog Experiments

Over the weekend, the National Institutes of Health, under the Trump administration, announced the closure of a notorious laboratory that conducted harsh experiments on dogs.

NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya revealed that the last in-house Beagle Institute was shut down. “I think this is a significant step,” he stated. “People often find a way to spin its impact negatively, though.”

Changing the culture at the NIH isn’t straightforward, Bhattacharya acknowledged. “We’re implementing policy alterations and considering alternatives to animal testing whenever possible,” he mentioned, emphasizing that technological advancements, like AI, have better implications for human health than traditional methods on animals.

“All beagle experiments have now been terminated on our campus,” he added.

Bhattacharya is keen on restoring public trust in the NIH during Trump’s presidency, especially after allegations arose regarding unethical practices in dog testing.

The White Coat Waste Project expressed satisfaction over the closure of the lab involved in lethal septic shock experiments that claimed the lives of over 2,000 beagles. They criticized the substantial taxpayer funding that enabled these procedures.

“Taxpayers shouldn’t bear the financial burden for NIH’s mistreatment of beagles,” remarked Anthony Bellotti, the organization’s president.

PETA also applauded the decision. Dr. Emily Tornell, PETA’s Science Director, noted the long struggle against the cruel experiments, which included extensive email campaigns and legal actions. “This closure signifies a victory for animal welfare and humane treatment,” she expressed.

In an ironic twist, Bhattacharya remarked that he received flowers instead of threats, which is unusual for someone in his position.

Senator Rand Paul responded to the announcement by highlighting past expenditures on questionable scientific experiments involving beagle puppies. He called for more sensible government spending.

Representatives like Marjorie Taylor Greene also showed approval, stating that the closure marked a win for dogs and their owners nationwide.

Nonetheless, this situation raises more questions about the implications and ethics surrounding animal testing and the broader responsibilities of research institutions. Despite the closure, the dialogue around these issues is far from over.
