Nike reveals USA World Cup uniforms for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

The U.S. Soccer Federation revealed a partnership with Nike to launch new uniforms for the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team, set to debut at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Monday.

Almost immediately, social media lit up with images and discussions about the uniforms—people shared opinions, critiqued elements, and even began voting on which jersey the team should wear for their opening match against Paraguay on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The design features two contrasting styles: stars and stripes.

The home kit boldly embraces Americana, showcasing red and white stripes reminiscent of a waving flag. It has a regal nod to the team’s look from 2012 but feels sharper and more vibrant. It seems perfect for a summer spectacle where American soccer will capture global attention.

In contrast, the away uniform adopts a more subdued approach. With a deep navy background sprinkled with delicate stars, this design feels equally at home on city streets or under stadium lights.

“There’s something for everyone with both kits,” remarked Nike Global Product Director Ronnie J. Stewart. “If you want to stand out, the light uniform makes it clear which team you support. But if you prefer a more casual vibe, go for the darker look.”

This marks the first time that all 27 teams under U.S. Soccer—including the women’s national team—will wear the same emblem and uniform design, emphasizing a unified identity.

“These uniforms symbolize the pride of wearing our emblem,” said Dave Wright, chief commercial officer for U.S. Soccer. “It’s not just about the players, but also the fans who back them every step.”

Fans can catch a preview of the new uniforms when the USMNT faces Belgium on March 28 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, followed by a match against Portugal featuring Cristiano Ronaldo on April 1 in Atlanta. These friendlies will serve as warm-ups before the World Cup kicks off on June 11 in Mexico City.

The jersey is set.

The only question left is whether the team will be ready for the momentous occasion.
