Golden Globes Host Casts Light on DiCaprio’s Dating Choices
Nikki Glaser had Leonardo DiCaprio on her mind during the opening ceremony of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles. As she returned to host the event, Glaser, who is 41, couldn’t resist poking fun at the actor’s history of dating younger women.
She joked, “Leonardo DiCaprio is here to ‘make bread after bread,'” while highlighting some of his impressive career milestones. “What an amazing career I’ve had,” she continued. “He’s had countless iconic roles, collaborated with top directors, snagged three Golden Globes, and won an Oscar. Most remarkably, he managed all of this before his girlfriend turned 30.”
Glaser seemed a bit taken aback by that last point, exclaiming, “I mean, that’s insane!” and then quickly added an apology to DiCaprio. “I’m sorry for joking,” she said, admitting that it might have been a cheap shot. “But we really don’t know much else about you. Come on, share! I mean, the most in-depth interview you gave was back in ‘Teen Beat’ in 1991, right? Your favorite food is still, ‘Pasta, pasta, more pasta?'”
DiCaprio, who is now 51, responded with a nod and a thumbs-up, prompting Glaser to confirm, “Look it up – it’s true.”
Currently, DiCaprio is in a relationship with supermodel Vittoria Ceretti, who is 27. Before Ceretti, he was rumored to have dated Irina Shayk, and at one point, had been linked to his friend, Bradley Cooper.
Cooper has also reportedly been dating DiCaprio’s ex, Gigi Hadid. Interestingly, rumors of romance between Gigi and Leo re-surfaced around the 2023 Oscars. A source revealed, “Leo and Gigi were hiding out in a more private area, trying to stay under the radar. There was no public display of affection, but they hardly left that spot all night.”
In a recent chat with Vogue France, Ceretti mentioned the challenges that come with dating someone famous. “When you’re in a relationship with someone with more followers, you can quickly be labeled as ‘the girlfriend’ or ‘boyfriend,’ and that can be really frustrating,” she explained. “People often forget that you can love someone despite the labels attached to them.”
DiCaprio has typically kept his personal life private. Last year, he commented on fame, noting that he tries to balance it but admits he’s still figuring it all out. “I’ve been trying to manage my life all my adult life, but I’m no expert,” he confessed. His philosophy? “Only go out and do something if you have something to say or show. Otherwise, lay low for as long as you can.”
