Nikki Haley Fails to Gain Momentum in New Hampshire

Voters, political experts and major donors are highly skeptical about former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley's chances of winning Tuesday's New Hampshire Republican primary.

Troubled by stagnation in public opinion polls, Adverse report Regarding her personal life in the final days leading up to the primaries, Ms. Haley appears poised to come in second place behind Mr. Trump, but her ally, Gov. Chris Sununu (R-New Hampshire), confirmed this prediction on Wednesday. I removed it. “We always wanted to have a strong second. That's the only expectation we laid out there,” he said. Said ABC News.

Sununu said the quiet part out loud. Voters' enthusiasm for Haley's campaign is waning, with Thursday's Suffolk poll showing Haley trailing Trump by about 14 points.

  • Trump: 50 percent
  • Haley: 36%
  • DeSantis: 6%

Dave Carney, a New Hampshire-based Republican strategist, said the state's energy appears to be firmly in Trump's favor. “You don’t see the frenzy, the frenzy of activity,” he said. Said politiko. “You don't normally see campaigns like this where people are going all over the state trying to get every last vote.”

Many voters feel Haley's campaign suspension lacks the “enthusiastic” energy. Nelia Tefft, an independent voter from Center Conway, said Haley did not answer any policy questions from the audience at the Bretton Woods rally. Instead, he preferred to pose for the media, Tefft said.

“After that, she was there the whole time, taking pictures with people,” she says. Said of new york times. “I was a little disappointed. I like to see her in action and give instant answers, but with the exception of Civil War, she does well most of the time.”

The gaffe cast a shadow over Haley's New Hampshire campaign. Haley once refused to answer directly to voters about the causes of the Civil War. She also told PBS that she was going to change her personality after the Iowa caucuses for her New Hampshire voters. Her self-inflicted wounds spread quickly on social media, becoming a modern phenomenon that distracts voters and disrupts campaign strategies.

“I can’t believe she said it out loud,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) exclusively told Breitbart News. “That's neocon for you… But I'm not surprised at all that she has to change her persona… Everything about her is fake. Her support is fake.”

Political experts say Haley's campaign was unable to convince voters that Trump would not deliver a dominant performance Tuesday after his historic victory in Iowa. “Trump is in charge of the Republican Party,” says Dartmouth College government professor Sean Westwood. Said BBC. “He certainly did overwhelmingly in Iowa compared to DeSantis and Haley, and I think he'll do the same in New Hampshire.”

“If Donald Trump loses badly in Iowa and loses badly in New Hampshire, it's very unlikely that he will lose any other races in the future,” said Matthew Bartlett, a Granite State Republican strategist. “So the question is: Will people stay in this race and why?”

“The start line can be the finish line here,” he added.

Many Democrats acknowledge that Trump has a significant lead in the state. In recent months, establishment-aligned super PACs have encouraged Democrats and independents to change their registrations by Friday to vote for Haley in the Republican primary. Experts say the plan is unlikely to defeat Trump.

“Nikki Haley is not the person to stop Donald Trump,” said Kathy Sullivan, former leader of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. Said WBUR. “Joe Biden is the only one who can stop Donald Trump in the November election.”
