On Wednesday, she made her first comments since abandoning her 46th presidential bid.th US President Haley (Royal Society of Scotland) has revealed where she will vote in November’s presidential election.
She said that while her former Republican rival was “not perfect” on policies that mattered to her personally, President Joe Biden’s term was “a disaster.”
“As a voter, I prioritize a president who will stand with our allies, hold our enemies accountable, and protect our borders. There are no more excuses,” Haley said. “This is a president who supports capitalism and freedom, a president who understands that we need to reduce debt, not increase it.”
“Trump wasn’t perfect on these policies, and I’ve made that clear many times, but Biden was a disaster, so I’m voting for Trump,” she said. continued.
Haley made the remarks while at the Hudson Institute, where she currently serves as the Walter P. Stern Chair.
Her words matter because she continues to win a small share of the vote in the Republican primary despite dropping out of the race in March.
Haley received 20% of the vote in last week’s Maryland Republican primary and 18% of the vote in Nebraska. She thinks Trump’s chances of returning to the White House will improve if he tries to appeal to her base.
