“Nicki is an effective leader with a proven track record in both foreign and domestic policy,” said John P. Walters, president and CEO of Hudson. stated in the release. “During a time of global political turmoil, she has been a staunch defender of freedom and an effective defender of America’s security and prosperity. We are honored to have her join the Hudson team. I think so.”
Haley’s move follows her withdrawal from the Republican primary in March after her crushing defeat to former US President Donald Trump on Super Tuesday.
Haley regularly cited her career as a former ambassador to the United Nations in debates and political rallies.
While serving in that position under the Trump administration from 2017 to 2018, she led the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord and fostered strong Israel-U.S. relations.
The Hudson Think Tank also welcomes other notable members. In 2021, the group welcomed former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
