So really, I did it for our kids and the kids of our state.”

In Mr. Bilbro's complaint against Mr. Haley, he accused the administration of not keeping records on refugees resettled in South Carolina and argued that the state's refugee plan is unconstitutional.

Questions have recently arisen regarding Haley's position on resettling refugees to the United States from terror-hit countries after she appeared to suggest to CNN in October 2023 that she supported resettling Gazans to the United States.

Ron DeSantis' (R) opposition to resettling Gazans.

The next day, a spokesperson for Haley's campaign told RealClearPolitics that Haley “opposes the U.S. dispossession of Gazans” and supports plans to keep Gazans in the region.
