Nikki Haley won her first Republican primary in Washington, DC.
Donald Trump is expected to win even more delegates in the Super Tuesday campaign.
The Associated Press reported:
Nikki Haley won the District of Columbia’s Republican primary, marking her first victory in the 2024 campaign.
Her victory on Sunday will at least temporarily end Donald Trump’s sweep of Republican voting contests, but the former president will pick up hundreds more delegates in this week’s Super Tuesday campaign. Probability is high.
Despite her early losses, Haley said she plans to remain in the race at least through those races, but she declined to name any primaries in which she is confident of winning. Even after her defeat in her home state of South Carolina, Haley continued to insist that voters there were qualified to replace Trump, despite Trump’s previous lead in the race.
The Associated Press declared Haley the winner Sunday night after D.C. Republican officials announced the results. She won all 19 contested delegates.
In response, Donald Trump said, “Washington, D.C. has very few delegates, and it’s a swamp with no room to rise, so I won’t go near voting.”
I intentionally stayed away from the DC vote because it’s a “swamp” with very few delegates and no benefits. Birdbrain has put all of its time, money, and effort into it. Over the weekend, we won against Missouri, Idaho and Michigan – big numbers – and completely destroyed very weak opponents. Really big numbers will be announced on Super Tuesday. Also, Crooked Joe is also getting a lot of attention!
…
Birdbrain is a loser, with record low performance in nearly every state. DeSanctus easily beat her at Iowa State for a very distant second place, and then she ran up to the podium before DeSanctus took her win. I enjoy watching Byrd disavow her pledge to the RNC and issue a statement saying she will never run for President Trump (the “great president”). Yes, she ran away, lied, and lost a lot!
