The large hotel bill stands in contrast to the frugality touted by Haley's campaign and comments made during a recent primary debate between Haley and Florida Gov. “He spent more on the private plane than on the commercial plane. I flew commercially. I stayed at the Residence Inn. We went and saved money,” Haley said. Another email said the campaign's road team “doesn't rent private planes like some campaigns do. We fly a lot of Spirits and JetBlues.”
