Nina Dobrev seemingly makes fun of ex Shaun White with her Halloween outfit

Nina Dobrev, known for her role in “The Vampire Diaries,” seems to be taking a jab at her recent breakup with Shaun White by dressing up as Tiffany, the character from the 1998 horror flick “Bride of Chucky.”

At 36, Dobrev looked quite different in her black-to-platinum blonde wig, thin eyebrows, dark eye makeup, and bold lipstick. She shared a photo on Instagram showing off her transformation.

Accompanying her costume was a fake tattoo featuring Chucky’s name over a heart earring, and she carried a Chucky doll for added effect.

In her creative tribute, Dobrev had a friend, Erica Burstein, dress as her “lover,” Chucky. Videos of their Halloween preparations displayed the fun they had with the theme, which Dobrev captioned, “The making of Chucky and his bride. Until death (and good lighting) do them part.”

Fans reacted on social media, interpreting Dobrev’s costume as a playful critique directed at her ex-fiancé White.

Comments like, “I’ll never forget how funny and amazing this costume is. Girl, get it!” reflected the audience’s appreciation for her choice.

Some followers thought it was clever that Dobrev chose this alternative take on her character instead of opting for the more traditional version tied to White. They seemed to resonate with the humor behind her costume.

In September, reports indicated that Dobrev and White, who is 39, had decided to end their five-year relationship. According to a source, the split was mutual and made with respect and love for one another.

Despite their breakup, Dobrev has kept aspects of their relationship visible on her Instagram, although she was spotted without her engagement ring at a recent premiere.

Insiders suggest that White and Dobrev had been drifting apart for some time, noting that the challenges of adjusting to life post-pandemic took a toll on their relationship.

“They fell in love during the pandemic and things went well, but once they started interacting in real life, everything changed,” the source revealed.

Dobrev and White first crossed paths at an awards show in 2012, but it wasn’t until 2019 that they began dating. Their relationship garnered attention when Dobrev celebrated White’s achievements at the end of his Olympic journey.

White has praised Dobrev for her unwavering support during challenging times in his life. In a romantic gesture, he once invited her to what she thought was a fancy dinner, which turned out to be a proposal surrounded by friends and family.
