No. 1 in Gun Control, No. 1 in ‘Active Shooter Incidents’ in 2023

California, a state with strict gun laws, has topped the nation for “mass shootings” in 2023, according to new data from the FBI.

The FBI “designated 48 mass shootings as active shooter incidents” in 2023. California led the nation with eight of the 48 incidents, Fox News reported. report.

ABC News Commented Regarding the FBI’s findings, he pointed out, “California had the highest number of mass shootings with eight. The locations where the shootings occurred included public parks, businesses and educational facilities.”

So is Fox News I got it.“California, which has the strictest gun control laws in the country, led the way with eight incidents.”

Breitbart News reported previous FBI data showing California continued to lead the U.S. in “active shooter” incidents in 2021 with six.

Ironically, California Governor Gavin Newsom (Democrat) has consistently praised the success of gun control in his state while criticizing the failure of gun control in other states across the country, such as Florida.

For example, on May 13, 2023, Tweeted“It must be the humidity, otherwise why would California’s gun violence rate be 57% lower than Florida’s?”

However, while California led the nation with eight “active shooter incidents” in 2023, Florida only had two such incidents, a quarter of the incidents in Governor Newsom’s state, according to FBI data.
