ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington may have the only footage of Scottie Scheffler’s arrest at the PGA Championship, as Louisville, Kentucky Mayor Craig Greenberg said there is no police body camera footage. There is sex.
Scheffler was arrested by the Louisville Department of Corrections and charged with second-degree assault on a police officer (a felony), criminal mischief, reckless driving, and failing a traffic-directing officer. He allegedly drove past a police officer directing traffic and did not stop when told to do so.

Louisville Detective Brian Gillis was injured in the incident, according to the arrest report, but Greenberg said there was no police footage of the incident.
“The officer did not have his body camera footage turned on during the incident,” Greenberg said Saturday via the news agency. Louisville Courier Journal. “We intend to release the footage that we have… To my knowledge, no footage of Officer Gillis’ initial contact with Mr. Scheffler has yet been discovered.”
Greenberg said there was a “fixed camera” across the street from where the incident occurred. He wasn’t sure if Gillis was wearing a body camera. He did not say whether Scheffler’s charges would be reduced.

Darlington was near the crime scene and arrested Louisville police, who placed Scheffler in the back of his patrol car.
Scheffler called the incident “a huge misunderstanding.”
“This morning I was acting on instructions from a police officer. It was a very chaotic situation, which is understandable given the tragic accident that had occurred earlier. “There was a big misunderstanding about that,” he said. He said. “I had no intention of ignoring the instructions. Today I want to put that aside and focus on golf.”
