Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, has yet to hold a press conference 10 days after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race and said she would take his place.
After Biden wrapped up his reelection campaign and knighted Harris as his successor on July 21, the vice president received numerous endorsements from Democratic leaders, including former presidents. Barack ObamaFormer Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosiand some blue states Governor, Gavin Newsom (California), Josh Shapiro (Pennsylvania), and JB Pritzker (Illinois), among others.
Harris became the presumptive nominee without receiving a single vote in the primary, but her failure to hold a press conference following such a major event leaves many questions unanswered.
Noah Rothman, a senior writer at National Review, asked his X followers on Wednesday, “When is Kamala Harris holding a press conference?”

The RNC Research account said Harris has only participated in “teleprompter-directed speeches” since announcing her presidential bid.
Day 10: Kamala has not given a single interview or press conference since the coup to remove Biden as the nominee.

Tim Graham, Editor-in-Chief of News Busters Said Fox News reported that some believe Harris is likely to follow Biden’s lead and hide from the press.
“Kamala Harris should absolutely hold a press conference. She will hold one when she picks him as her running mate. But don’t expect Biden to break away from his repeated habit of avoiding press conferences,” Graham said.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump responded to the “racist” accusations at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday:

Since the 2020 election campaign, we have witnessed the bizarre spectacle of Donald Trump allowing widespread access to the media that suggests he is a fascist and attacks him daily, while Biden and Harris refuse to grant interviews to media that gurgle about them and their “historic achievements.” They are either suggesting that the press can never be servile enough, or that they have no confidence whatsoever in their efforts to construct complete sentences.
