Noel Clark is trying to create “moral equivalence” between his alleged sexual misconduct and the actions of his accuser, the High Court heard.
The 49-year-old actor who gave evidence in his claim of honor and libel damage to the Guardian has declared that some of his accusers have voluntarily engaged or started joking about sexual exploitation.
On the third day of cross-examination, Gavin Millar KC, representing the Guardian, told him: It's kind of moral equivalence, “She's as bad as me.”
Miller said Clark asked for a way to return allegations made against him to his accuser.
Clark said he told the truth and nurtured women's behavior where it relates.
“In this world, we're done if a man makes a far-fetched misstep now,” Clark told the court.
Clark was asked about the Doctor Who Convention held in Bournemouth in 2016, where he sat next to volunteer Lisa Graham and was told:
-
He touched her thighs, including between her legs.
-
They said they should go to the mezzanine floor above to have sex.
-
We rate out of 10 women for sexual attraction.
-
The pregnant woman said, “Bang on it” because she couldn't get pregnant again.
Clark said Graham was “involved in the conversation.” [rating women] Voluntarily” and he commented on the pregnant woman, but that was not specifically alleged.
Miller said: “This is your strategy: “I might be bad, but women are just as bad.”
Clark replied: “I did it when I believed it was true.”
Clarke, author and producer of The Dulthood Trilogy, said fans would simply slap Graham on his lap to show that it was too long and lingering.
“The inspiration is not right and the invitation to go to public mezzanine is nonsense,” Clark said.
He said: “Some people want to be involved in what they think is a noble cause.”
The court also heard that Clark allegedly exposed his penis in 2016 during a music video shoot for rap duoclept and Conan near the Angel Metro Station in north London.
Two women working at Lionsgate who asked Clark's company to film were Alice* and Ella*, attended. Miller told Clark: “You've repeatedly made sexual comments on her. [Alice]to the effect she liked having sex with black men. ”
Clark denied doing so, saying the woman began a conversation about a celebrity's penis and whatsapp group called “dick detectives.”
Miller said: “You exposed your penis to her.”
Clark replies that he wasn't, but when Alice tells him he has a small penis, Ella urges him to show him, and he jokingly undoes his brown belt. “It was a flap on my belt,” he said.
Miller told the court that Clark is expected to win the BAFTA award in 2021. [his accusers] Beyond the edge… they finally decided to tell the truth.”
Clark sued GNM in seven articles and podcasts published between April 2021 and March 2022, with over 20 women accusing him of sexual misconduct.
The trial continues.
