The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) spotted four Russian aircraft in international airspace off the coast of Alaska on Thursday.

NORAD said in a statement shared with Fox News that the Russian aircraft was flying in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone and did not enter U.S. airspace.

“The Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter the sovereign airspace of the United States or Canada,” NORAD said. “This Russian activity in the Alaska ADIZ occurs regularly and is not considered a threat.”
