“It's a deep sadness to share the sad news about our own loss, which was killed in today's duties,” he posted on Facebook late on Tuesday. “This tragic loss reminds us of the dedication and courage of the people who serve and protect our communities.”
According to the press release, the situation was about 2:13 pm when a police officer was reported by a gun at another person.
Police ignored the command's order and began running. The armed suspect was found by a police officer who ordered him to show his hand, but instead said that the shooting continued.
