‘Not the party of common sense’

Democratic strategist Julie Roginski laid out “some hard truths” on CNN's show Thursday, arguing that Democrats are “not a sensible party” that can't talk to ordinary people.

“I'm going to tell my Democratic friends the hard truth: This is not Joe Biden's fault. It's not Kamala Harris' fault. It's not Barack Obama's fault.

“It's Democrats' fault for not knowing how to effectively communicate to voters,” she said. “We're not the party of common sense. That's the message the voters are sending us.”

Roginsky did not hesitate to dissect the Democratic Party's election defeat.

She said things like using Latin when addressing Latinos, blaming young protesters who cause mayhem on college campuses, and using pronouns after names that seem to be “virtue signaling.” , said it rattled off many of the ways Democrats are struggling to speak to voters.

“I don't know how I've been working on this, but I've been working on this for probably 10 years, maybe more,” Roginsky told CNN.

“We need to go back to a party of common sense where people look at us and say, we understand you, we speak our language and we appreciate what you have to say. Until we do that, we should stop blaming others for our mistakes.”
