Democratic Governor JB Pritzker has warned Senator Kamala Harris about her upcoming debate with Donald Trump.

“I don't think we should underestimate Donald Trump. He's won a couple of debates. Certainly, people will say that he won the debate with President Biden a few months ago,” Pritzker said.

He added: “I know the first time he ran he won the debate against Hillary Clinton. Don't underestimate him.”

Fox News reported:

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said in an interview Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris needs to be careful going into a debate with former President Trump.

“I don't think we should underestimate Donald Trump,” Pritzker told CNN's Sara Sydnor. “He's won a couple of debates so far. Certainly, people will say that he won a debate with President Biden a few months ago.”

“I knew when he first ran he won the debate against Hillary Clinton,” Pritzker said of Trump. “Don't underestimate him.”

Pritzker said Harris is a “great person with great skills and great communication skills” but that alone may not be enough to beat Trump.

“No one should think that Kamala Harris is more capable of winning a debate than Donald Trump,” Pritzker said. “They will emerge as formidable opponents with very different perspectives.”

Kamala Harris tried to change the rules of the debate.

ABC News rejected her changes.

The New York Post reported:

ABC News has refused to honor Vice President Kamala Harris' request to fully unmute microphones during her Sept. 10 debate with former President Donald Trump, following days of bickering that Republicans saw as an attempt by Democrats to entrap the Republican candidate.

The network's emails, reviewed by The Washington Post, laid out similar rules to those in place for the June 27 debate between President Trump and President Biden on CNN, including no spectators, no pre-written notes or props and muting microphones when candidates are not speaking.

Trump and Harris will be allowed on stage with only a pen, notepad and a bottle of water.
