Rep. Erik Burrison (R) continues his push to eliminate the Bureau of Alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and Explosives (ATFs), and points out there is nothing “radical” about eliminating federal agencies on Monday.
He posted to X:
Burlison has been promoting consistently eliminating ATFs since the fall of 2024, when the ATF called them a “disaster,” saying, “it has been a disaster agency for decades. [which has] It violates the Second Amendment. ”
He introduced HR 221 to the Congress, saying, “HR 221 would abolish the ATF. That’s easy. It will eliminate this redundant institution that consistently infringes the second amendment right.”
On April 2, 2025, Brison posted to X.
While fighting for the removal of the ATF, Burlison is also promoting the repeal of the National Firearms Act (NFA).
Firearm accessories like suppressors are within the NFA range, resulting in Americans having to pay $200 in taxes to the government to acquire the government and undergo a troublesome background check/registration process.
April 13, 2025, Burrison I wrote it In X, “Suppressors reduce noise pollution and protect hearing. NFA restrictions on them are pointless. They abolish the NFA.”
