Nottingham Forest Parts Ways with Ange Postecoglou

Nottingham Forest has announced the departure of manager Ange Postecoglou just 20 minutes after a disappointing loss to Chelsea, which left the team winless in eight games. This news was shared on social media following the 3-0 defeat on Saturday.

Postecoglou’s exit comes after only 39 days in charge. The club’s statement indicated that due to a series of unsatisfactory results and performances, the decision was made to relieve him of his duties immediately. Interestingly, this brief tenure is now recorded as the second shortest in Premier League history.

He had taken over from Nuno Espirito Santo back on September 9 but struggled to turn the team’s fortunes around. In fact, Forest hasn’t won a single match during his time at the helm.

The manager’s recent history has been quite turbulent. Prior to his brief stint with Nottingham, Postecoglou left another English club in June and was dismissed from Tottenham despite having led them to a notable victory in the Europa League final, ending a lengthy title drought for the club.

His tenure at Tottenham ended partly due to the team’s poor performance in the Premier League, where they finished in 17th place, their lowest position since being established.

For now, Nottingham Forest has no further comments on the situation.
